About Ryan:
I’ve been a passionate, devoted, and diligent photographer for the last five years. My love for photography began at an early age when I picked up my parents’ 35mm film SLR. After completing three photography courses at my high school in London, England – earning top mark and having my artwork showcased and sold – I knew this was a field to pursue.
In my pursuit of gaining experience, techniques, and knowledge, I have worked for various businesses. I’ve worked for a local concert promoter in London where I was able to take photos of various bands, and when I entered my first year in university, I was hired as a photographer for the award-winning school newspaper, The Cord Weekly. After that rewarding year of volunteering, where I gained a large amount of experience being a photojournalist, I was awarded both “Photographer of the Year” and “Photo of the Year” by the paper’s institution, Wilfrid Laurier University Student Publications. I was then hired on as Photography Manager for the following year, and I miss that job every day.
Recently, I have decided to drop out of my university program to further pursue my career in Photojournalism. I am now attending Loyalist College for Photojournalism.
My hard work, dedication, passion and my overwhelming drive for perfection will hopefully make me a true up-and-comer and I strive tol continue to create stunning, high-quality work while staying competitive and on top of the field.
